MBA ADMISSION POLICY: PGPM 2025-27 BATCH

The admission process of IIM Tiruchirappalli takes into consideration the candidate’s performance in CAT, performance in Personal Interview (PI) and Written Analysis Test (WAT), academic record, and relevant work experience.

The criteria that would be used to select candidates for the Personal Interview and Written Analysis Test (PI & WAT) are shown below:

A. Criteria for shortlisting for PI & WAT::

IIM Tiruchirappalli will use the CAT percentile to shortlist candidates for PI and WAT. The table below indicates the minimum performance expected from candidates to be shortlisted for PI and WAT. Please note that achieving the cut-off percentile in CAT is a necessary but not sufficient condition for being shortlisted.

B. CRITERIA FOR THE FINAL ADMISSIONS

The following parameters and the corresponding weights will be used to arrive at the composite scores of the candidates to prepare the final merit list for admissions:

1. CAT Percentile: 47 percent weightage.

2. Written Analysis Test: 5 percent weightage.

3. Personal Interview: 20 percent weightage

4. Work experience: 10 percent weightage

*Only full-time remunerative work experience after graduation and completed months till 31st January 2025 will be considered subject to the candidate updating the latest details in the CAP-2025 application process. Part-time/project/internship/article-ship/pre-graduation work experience will not be counted as work experience.

At the time of registration for the program, valid proof with a date of appointment, date of relieving, and work experience certificate will be mandatory.

5. Normalized Score in 10th Standard: 2 percent weightage

6. Normalized Score in 12th Standard: 3 percent weightage

7. Performance at Undergraduate level: 5 percent weightage.

8. Academic Diversity: 2 percent weightage

9. Gender Diversity: 6 percent weightage for female candidates

IIM Tiruchirappalli follows reservation policy as per Government of India norms and as notified in the CAT 2024 advertisement Eligibility and Information Bulletin.
