International Business Practice:
International Business Practice (IBP) is a second year PGPM elective course. The objective of this course is to provide students with a hands on experience of working on a live business problem with a cross cultural perspective. The course consists of in-class discussions and a live project. The in-class discussions equip students with basic concepts of cross-cultural management, lateral and program thinking processes and their applications in solving business problems. The live project runs through the whole duration of this course (for approximately 12 weeks). In the last two weeks students spend their time at the partnering organization’s premises (in South East Asia) for the final stages of the project. This pedagogy has been adopted to help students understand how the various concepts they learn in this course, and other courses during their PGPM curriculum can be applied in practice to solve a business problem in a cross-cultural context.
