DECISION TOOLS SUITE
The DecisionTools Suite is an integrated set of programs for risk analysis and decision making under uncertainty that runs in Microsoft Excel. The DecisionTools Suite includes @Risk for Monte Carlo simulation, PrecisionTree for decision trees and Toprank for “what if” sensitivity analysis. In addition the DecisionTools Suite comes with StatTools for statistical analysis and forecasting, NeuralTools for Predictive neural networks, and Evolver and RiskOptimizer for optimization. All programs work together better than ever before, and all integrate completely with Microsoft excel for ease of use and maximum flexibility.
New DecisionTools Suite version 6.1 is fully compatible with 32- and 64-bit Excel and Office 2013, as well as Windows 8. It has now been fully translated into Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese, and Chinese, including all examples, tutorials, and help files. Users can specify the language at install, and even change languages later -- all from the same installer. This is a major benefit to multinational companies seeking to roll out a single risk analysis standard around the world.
In addition, @RISK 6.1 offers a new calculation engine for Microsoft Project schedules that simulates many times faster than before. With the release of @RISK 6.0, Microsoft Project schedules were integrated in the @RISK for Excel platform, enabling you to perform risk analysis and Monte Carlo simulation on your schedules using the more flexible @RISK for Excel interface. @RISK 6 also added simulation of time series models, easier-to-understand tornado charts to identify risk drivers, better graphing options, improved distribution fitting, and new distribution functions.
But there’s more to version 6 of the DecisionTools Suite than just @RISK. The release of 6.0 added powerful Bayesian revision and more flexible tree editing to PrecisionTree, and a new, faster solving engine called OptQuest to Evolver and RISKOptimizer. And version 6.0 of StatTools and NeuralTools added improvements to scatter plots and sensitivity analysis to the testing of neural nets.
