Dr. James Dominic is an Assistant Professor of Finance and Accounting. He has a doctorate in Finance from IIT-Madras. His expertise in business, academia, and research covers more than 13 years. Before pursuing his academic interests, he spent seven years in various operational roles in the banking business (ICICI Bank and AXIS Bank) as a CAIIB-certified banking professional. As a practising academician, he is a member of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) and possesses multiple academic credentials from IIBF, including Diploma in International Banking and Finance, Certification in AML & KYC, Certification in Banking Codes and Standards, and Certification in Trade Finance. He is an AIMA-accredited Management Teacher (AMT) and a SEBI Resource Person for financial education in the country. Among his research interests include Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Venture Capital/Private Equity, Valuation, Financial Derivatives, and Technical Analysis, among others. He received a fellowship for research from IIT-Madras and has delivered research papers at numerous international conferences in the United States and Europe.
