Dr. Dharani Munusamy earned his M.Com. (Business Finance), M.Phil. and PhD in Finance from Pondicherry University. He has received Bharath Rathna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Gold Medal for his outstanding performance in the M.Phil. course. Further, he has qualified the UGC-NET for four times during his study period.
He has more than 10 years of teaching experience at the Master’s and Doctoral level, including working Executives. Before joining IIM Tiruchirappalli, he had worked with IIM Kashipur, ICFAI Business School (IBS)-Hyderabad and Loyola College, Chennai. He has teaching experience in Financial and Management Accounting, Financial Management, Financial Markets, Trading Strategies in the Financial Markets, and Empirical Research in Accounting and Finance.
His research interest includes Shariah investment, investor sentiments, asset pricing, volatility modelling, financial development and growth. He has publications in the various ABDC and Scopus journals like The World Economy, International Review of Economics and Finance, Global Finance Journal, International Economics and Economic Policy, Research in International Business and Finance, International Journal of Finance and Economics, Review of Behavioral Finance, among others. He also serves as reviewer of papers for various journals.
