Bipin Kumar Dixit is an Associate Professor in the Finance and Accounting Area at IIM Trichy. He joined IIM Trichy in March 2014. He is a Fellow (Ph.D.) of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and received an M Tech degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur

He received the NSE Award for the Best Thesis in Financial Economics from the Indian Economic Association for his doctoral research. He has received research grants from the NSE-IGIDR Corporate Governance Research Initiative. His research has appeared in academic journals of repute, such as the 'Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance' and 'Managerial Finance.' His current research interests are in the areas of corporate finance and corporate governance, with a special focus on emerging markets. 

He is a passionate and impactful teacher. He teaches courses on Corporate Finance, Advanced Corporate Finance, Mergers, Acquisitions, and Corporate Restructuring to MBA students and seminar courses on Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance to doctoral students. He is actively involved in teaching and training working executives across various domains. He consistently receives high ratings for his teaching across all the programs. He has significantly contributed to institutional development activities by holding various administrative positions at IIM Trichy.
